Mary Clark — Director of User Experience
Mary is a user-experience aficionado. She's been working in the field of interaction design and user experience for nine years and an interactive producer before that. After attending University of Kansas, Mary went in-house working as an Interactive Producer at American Century Services, later moving into an Interactive Designer role before she left. Since, she's been in user experience heaven working as a User Experience Architect at Kansas City's VML and then a Senior User Experience Architect at Barkley before moving into the Director of Experience position.
Josh Okun — Senior Interactive Designer
Josh has extensive experience creating exciting, intuitive designs for the web for over eight years. Prior to joining Barkley, Josh was a Partner at Ardent House and a Senior Designer at Idea Interactive. Josh attended Broardmoor Vocational School, University of Kansas and Johnson County Community College studying multimedia technology, fine arts and communication design. Josh says he's "particularly interested in creating rich, user-centric interactive experiences built on solid information architecture. Experiences should not only be standards compliant, but also forward thinking."

Mary and Josh will walk through Barkley's interactive disciplines and their approach to collaborative design. Mixing the UX and design together throughout their entire process. They'll walk through their best case scenarios about how they like to work and what happens when all hell breaks loose.
UX: Tips & Tricks (Mary Clark — Barkley)
What is User Experience (UX)? What are the terms and what does the UX landscape look like? Mary will give you the low down on this and a whole lot more like: How does Barkley approach UX? What's their workflow like? She'll also so some samples of Barkley UX in planning and action as well as give you toolsets to better UX. She'll point out good resources, patterns, consultants and communities you might find helpful.
Approaching Design (Josh Okun — Barkley)
How does the process begin at Barkely? What are some best-practice scenarios? Josh will explore all of this and share some examples of some Barkley solutions including brands like Sonic Drive-In, Wells Blue Bunny, and more. He'll also touch on client presentations and garnering buy-in, finalizing and polishing your web presence and the final production of your visitors online experience.
