2006 ADDY® Awards Competition
The top prize, Best of Show, went to ME&V for its “Be Orange” campaign for Wartburg College. Project contributors included Mark Mathis, Creative Director; and Sarah Albertson, Director of Healthcare Marketing.
Other top awards included Judge’s Citations.
Judges’ Citation for Biggest Surprise was awarded to VGM Forbin for the Varsity Cleaners web site. Contributors included Laura Hand, Web Designer; and Julie Everman, Programmer.
University of Northern Iowa Office of Marketing & Public Relations took home the Judges’ Citation award for Best Design for the UNI School of Music Division Brochure Series. Contributors included Beth Lavelle, Art Director; Mary Taylor, Editor; and Matthew Knight, Photographer.
Judges’ Citation for Best Copywriting was awarded to ME&V for Allen Hospital “Lift Up Your Heart” newspaper ad campaign. Contributors included Colleen Hayes, Art Director; Sarah Albertson, Director of Healthcare Marketing; Mark Mathis, Creative Director; and Jim Waterbury, VP of Institutional Advancement for Allen Hospital.
And eCreative Group, Inc. was awarded the Judges’ Citation for Best Interactive for the Third Coast Surf web site. Contributors included Casey Stoner, Art Director; Terra Noe, Designer; Mike McGill, Copywriter; and Mike Sheridan, Programmer.

Each year, MAC invites area businesses and advertising agencies to submit work to be judged by marketing and advertising professionals outside of Northeast Iowa. To be eligible for an ADDY®, all work must have been published or aired between January 1, 2005, and December 31, 2005.
MAC ADDY® Awards winners are eligible to compete in the second level of the three-tiered ADDY® Awards Competition, the Ninth District ADDY® Awards, conducted in the spring. The Ninth District winners are then eligible for the top competition, the national ADDY®, presented each June by the American Advertising Federation.
